Munich Attractions

Marienplatz

The Marienplatz contains The Old Town Hall with its Gothic tower and toy museum, the New Town Hall and mechanical Glockenspiel (clock) and a market.

 

The Nymphenburg Palace

The Nymphenburg Palace was built in 1674 and includes summer houses, a grotto and gardens. Inside the Palace you will discover glorious rooms and treasures.

 

Dachau Concentration Camp

Dachau was the Nazi's first concentration camp. It has been renovated and preserved as a memorial to those who suffered and died between 1933 and 1945.

 

City Museum

The City Museum has fascinating displays about the city’s history including; historic weapons, specialist photos and films, brewing, musical instruments and puppets.

 

Frauenkirche (Church)

One of the most famous symbols of Munich is the Frauenkirche that was built between 1468 and 1494. It measures 109 metres high and has two brick onion topped towers.

 

The Glyptothek Museum

The Glyptothek is the oldest museum in Munich and is filled with Greek and Roman sculptures. One of the highlights is the statue of the Barberini Faun.
