Milan Attractions

Duomo

At the heart of the city, Milan’s Duomo is the world’s largest Gothic cathedral. Take a lift to the rooftop for stunning views of Milan and even the Alps on a clear day.

 

La Scala Opera House

Opera lovers know Teatro alla Scala, or La Scala for short, the world over. For others the building, built on the site of an old church in 1778, is a unique visit itself.

 

Galleria Vittorio Emanuelle II

This vast shopping arcade is entered from the Piazza in front of the cathedral. Built in Neo-Renaissance style, this is a place to browse Milan’s exclusive shops and eateries.

 

Sforzesco Castle

This impressive ancient castle fortress is a beautiful piece of architecture. The castle was restored after World War II bombing and now houses museums and collections.

 

San Siro Stadium

This is the largest football stadium in Italy and is home to AC Milan and Inter Milan, the 2 football teams of Milan. There is also a museum dedicated to football memorabilia.

 

Pinacoteca di Brera

This museum houses a great collection of Medieval and Renaissance Italian artwork, including pieces by Rembrandt, Mantegna, Raphael and Caravaggio.
