Ljubljana Attractions

Ljubljana Castle, perched on top of a hill, has been towering over the city for centuries. Its silhouette is such an indispensable element in Ljubljana's skyline that very early, on the city's residents assigned it a place of honour in their coat of arms. Its unique position offers wonderful views of the city.

Built in 1901, the Dragon Bridge takes its name from the dragon of Ljubljana's coat of arms which decorates the bridge. Crossing over the Ljubljanica River, offers pleasant views of the Triple Bridge and the flowered banks.

St. Nicholas' Cathedral is situated between the Ciril Metodov and the Ljubljanica River. The cathedral occupies the site of an old Romanesque church and dates from the early 18th century. The 15th century triple organ is a sight not to be missed.

Ljubljana's Old Town is the best place to be for sightseeing, quaintness, charm, Old Europe ambiance, and Ljubljana's own brand of special individuality. The narrow, winding streets are lined with centuries-old buildings, many of which are now converted into specialty shops and boutiques.
