Castle Hill is arguably the most visited area and contains many of Budapest’s most important monuments and museums, not to mention grand views of the city.

Parliament Building

The massive neo-Gothic Parliament Building is one of the landmark symbols of Budapest. Built at the turn of the century, the building quickly became a dominant feature.

Margit Island

Perhaps the ultimate haven is Margit Island, a sanctuary of forest, flower beds, manicured lawns and sports facilities located in the middle of the River Danube.

Fisherman's Bastion

The River Danube splits Budapest in two, on the left bank lies Buda and the right Pest. Enjoy one of the many cruises down the river and take in the spectacular scenery.
