Budapest

A Budapest city break caters well for most needs of most travellers, whether it’s the beautiful hills of historic Buda, or the more modern streets of Pest, making the Hungarian capital a must see European destination.

One of the most famous sites of the city is Chain Bridge, which was the first permanent bridge across the River Danube. Meander along the cobbled streets of Castle Hill, a real must on a Budapest city break. After dark why not see a performance at the Hungarian State Opera House, which boasts one of the most beautiful interiors in Europe and well worth a visit even if you are not an Opera lover.

After exploring Budapest and something more relaxing is the order of the day, why not take advantage of the numerous hot bubbling spas as well as the elegant indoor bathing houses which Budapest has to offer. Original ruins of the Roman bath houses can still be seen and some of the Turkish period baths are still in use today, Budapest rightly deserves the title of “City of Spas”.
