Canal Cruise

A roundtrip on the picturesque city canals will allow you to discover the stunning beauty of Brugge from quite a different and surprising point of view!

 

 

The Beguinage

The Beguinage founded in 1245 is a group of 17th century houses around a little garden covered with large poplar trees. In 1937 the Beguinage became a monastery for the Benedictine sisters who still live here now. Visit the museum, convent church and the vineyard.

 

 

The Markt and Burg

Discover the Markt and Burg which are Bruges two medieval squares. Enjoy the covered market, Belfry, Town Hall and the Basilica of the Holy Blood along with the many shops, cafes and restaurants.

 

 

Windmills

The park that marks the line of the city walls between Kruispoort and Dampoort in the northeast is occupied by a row of very photogenic windmills. The ‘St Janshuismolen’ Windmill which dates back to 1770 is the only mill to survive in its original position. The Koelewei, Bonne Chière and Nieuwe Papegaai Mills were moved to their current positions and rebuilt. All four windmills are still used to make flour today.

 

 

Belfry

The Belfry is the city’s most remarkable landmark. The carillon has a total of 47 bells weighing a total of 27 tons. Climb the 366 steps to the top and enjoy the spectacular view and visit the former medieval treasure room on the second storey which is now a museum.

 

 

‘The Minnewater’ (The Lake of Love)

Enjoy the "Minnewater", a lake which used to be a dock and the romantic park, which are located at the entrance to the city of Bruges. Because of the idyllic surroundings the “Minnewater” is known as the ‘Lake of Love’. Enjoy the tranquillity and panoramic view over the town.
