The Giant's Causeway

Caused by volcanic activity 60 million years ago, the Giant’s Causeway is a World Heritage site of natural beauty. Explore the area and enjoy the magnificent views.

 

Ulster Museum

Situated in the Botanic Gardens, the museum displays art, Irish furniture, glass, silver, ceramics, costumes, and a display of life in Ireland over 9,000 years.

 

City Hall

The exuberant Renaissance Revival City Hall dominates Donegal Square. With excellent views up to the heights of the Great Dome, this is Belfast's most ornate public space.

 

Belfast Castle

The castle, with its excellent views, sits 400ft above sea level on the slopes of Cave Hill overlooking the city. Visit the Heritage Centre or enjoy the lovely ornamental gardens.

 

Botanic Gardens

The Botanic Gardens are a glorious haven of grass, trees, flowers and curving walks. Visit the Palm House, which is the oldest curvilinear greenhouse in the world.

 

Giant's Ring

This massive prehistoric earthwork is nearly 200m in diameter and covers three hectares. At its heart is an ancient tomb called the Druid's Altar, dating from around 4000BC.
